Stitching Screws Technical Specifications

Stitching screws are a multipurpose screw used for fixing into timber or light gauge steel.

They are used   to “stitch” together metal panels where they overlap, as well as to flashing, gutters and trim.

When installing  self drilling screws, you should use  a suitable screw gun and magnetic socket

The screw gun should incorporate both a clutch and a depth setting mechanism.

The adjustable nose piece should always be used resulting in the  correct  driving of screws and compression of the bonded washer.

NB. Self drilling screws should not be installed with an impact driver.

All  screws have a 3mm thick Grey EPDM rubber on the galvanized bonded washers allowing for better sealing where  screws are installed at varying angles to the cladding.

Single skin fixings have a 16mm o/d washer and Composite panel fixings have a 19mm o/d washer as standard.
