Kingspan are delighted to advise that they have a complete roof and PV system, PowerPlus KS1000RW, that has successfully passed the extensive testing programme and is now certified to FM 4478 globally recognised insurance standard.

This system is made up of:
- QuadCore KS1000RW Roof Panels – thicknesses from 73-167mm (73-150mm for KS2000RW)
- Kingspan PoweRail RW
- Longi (LR5-54HTD 415-440M Series) Photovoltaic Module.
It is the first steel faced composite panel roofing system globally to achieve this FM 4478 certification, which means it’s the only solution that has undergone system testing to a globally recognised FM Approvals standard that incorporates both the roof system and rooftop solar solutions.
The testing also applies to existing KS1000RW/KS2000RW QuadCore roofs if built to FM 4471 standards, so future application of the tested PV rail and module system will achieve the FM 4478 standard.
